The in situ MOCVD synthesis of TlBa2CaCu2O7 (Tl-1212) superconducting thin films is reported. The structural and transport properties of samples grown on 10 x 10 x 0.5 mm(3) (100) LaAlO3 substrates have been measured. The XRD patterns indicate that samples are highly c-axis oriented while the transport measurements show typical values of the transition temperature greater than 70 K. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
