This vaccine treatment was continued for five days. The other animals served as controls. The colonization of gastric and duodenal micus was monitored by scanning electron microscopy and microbiological assays. Abstract

The significance of Campylobacter pylory found in gastric or duodenal biopsy material of with gastritis or duodenal ulcers remains debatable. Some authors stress the correlation betwen the presence of Campylobacter pylory and histological findings. clearance of Campylobacter pylori by ad ministration of antibiotics is associated with the healing of lesions. The purpose of our preliminary study was the evaluation of prophylactic means to prevent colonization by Campylobacter pylori in a mouse model.
