The surface photo-oxidation of polypropylene in presence of different three antioxidants such as Sanduvor PR-31, Sanduvor 3944 and Tinuvin 770 has been studied by high resolution ESCA. The results show that the additives are effective in protecting also the surface of the material and that, within the three, Sanduvor PR-31 seems to perform better than the others in terms of decreasing the level of the oxidation after the aging.

Abstract

The surface photo-oxidation of polypropylene in presence of different three antioxidants such as Sanduvor PR-31, Sanduvor 3944 and Tinuvin 770 has been studied by high resolution ESCA. The results show that the additives are effective in protecting also the surface of the material and that, within the three, Sanduvor PR-31 seems to perform better than the others in terms of decreasing the level of the oxidation after the aging.
