Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson's correlation were run for statistical evaluation. Results. Data showed that distress and emotional self-efficacy were significantly and negatively associated. severity of HPV type and length of the pathology were found to be the most relevant factors interfering with Quality of life (QoL). They weaken the personality and reduce the ability to deal with the everyday problems. Conclusions. Results found that women suffering from high risk HPV types were more stressed and perceived themselves less self-efficient than women with a low risk HPV type. This negative psychological outcomes are as relevant as the medical implications of the illness and should not be underestimated.
