Il "Convivio" e l'allegoria dei poeti

It is the precondition of the theory of four ways of profane writing, corresponding to those inferred from the traditional sacred exegesis. êe Dante’s original position is manifested in three main aspects: first, in the allocation of the moral and the anagogic senses also to profane writing, the extent that the poet is able to represent the Good and the True; secondly, in the recognition that the allegory of the poets is not only interpretation but also expressive form; finally, in the primacy, on the concept, of representation, which is able to go beyond the limits of reason through intellectual intuition.

La narrazione delle vicende d’amore di Dante dopo la morte di Beatrice e la sua stratificata interpretazione costituisce l’essenza del Convivio e la sua stessa ragion d’essere. È il presupposto della teorizzazione di quattro sensi della scrittura profana, corrispondenti a quelli enucleati dalla tradizionale esegesi sacra. L’originale posizione di Dante si manifesta in tre principali aspetti: innanzitutto nell’attribuzione del senso morale e dell’anagogico anche alla scrittura profana, nella misura in cui il poeta è in grado di rappresentare il Bene e il Vero; in secondo luogo nel riconoscimento che l’allegoria dei poeti è non solo interpretazione ma anche forma espressiva; infine nella posizione sovraordinata, rispetto al concetto, della rappresentazione, che è in grado di oltrepassare i limiti della ragione attraverso l’intuizione intellettuale.
