Thegoal is to render this cultural heritage available, in thesame way as a material restoration would, throughvirtual reality
Vi sono opere il cui segno sul territorio non è piùimpresso dalla materia e per le quali gli interventi nonpossono configurarsi in un restauro materiale. Sonoemergenze architettoniche distrutte dalla volontàdecisionale della comunità, con processi articolati espesso controversi che, di fatto, hanno cancellato pezzidi storia.In assenza di materia, la rappresentazione condottamediante le più recenti tecnologie digitali apporta uncontributo notevole per la documentazione di questeopere per le quali un restauro virtuale contribuisce amantenere viva la memoria.Lo studio riguarda l’imponente opera delle muraspagnole che per più di tre secoli hanno segnato illuogo dell’isola di Ortigia e che gli eventi politici di fine‘800 hanno in buona parte distrutto.L’obiettivo è di rendere fruibile, alla stessa stregua diun restauro materico, questo patrimonio culturaleattraverso la realtà virtuale
