In our continuing study of correlation energies in both hetero- and homonuclear diatomics, contact is established here with the first-principles study of S. Kais, S. M. Sung and D. R. Herschbach (1994, Int. J. Quantum Chem., 49, 657) on atomic correlation energies. Their results derive from renormalization of the large-dimension limit. Similarities of scaling are revealed for light homonuclear diatomics.

Abstract
