Abstract

A chiral organic–inorganic hybrid material, based on a poroussilicon surface functionalized with a chiral cavitand, was designedand synthesized. The affinity of this device in water toward abromine-marked alkyl-ammonium salt has been evaluated usingXPS detection. UV and CD measurements highlight the enantioselectiveextraction from a racemic mixture in water of theS-enantiomer of the selected guest (ee Z 80%).
