Translation, human relationship and lexical choices: a case -study for "critical" ognitive approach

Following the most recent trends in linguistic analysis, which combine CDA and Cognitive Linguistics, I would like to concentrate on how they can help the translation process by bringing to light hidden meanings and lexical choices; bearing in mind that mental and textual constructs are linked to one another. A case-study will be presented to support the claim that not only may translation raise language issues that would not normally be taken into consideration, but it also strongly requires new, complex tools of analysis, and thus it forces linguists to construct a combined framework of analysis.
