SUMMARY – Research carried out in Cave 3 of Marineo (Licodia Eubea, CT), a site already explored in 1988, has allowed to highlight numerous elements, both from the revision of the old excavation, and from a new trench opened in 2017. Since the cleaning of the 1988 trench, several small ditches excavated in the rock bench have been brought to light, whose use, in the absence of documentation, has only been hypothesized (combustion pit or supports for large containers?). Inside a burrow in the eastern side of the cave was identified a structure dug into the rock that, for the discovery of a fragment of human jaw, could be hypothesized to be a burial. The new excavation test, outside the cavity, has brought to light the remains of a rectangular structure, perhaps built close to the access of the cave and probably datable to the Middle Bronze Age.
