The intensity of conflict violence has been observed and an index for the measurement of the UN activity has been applied to the data. Finally, the relation between UN activity and the Arab-Israel conflict has been analysed making use of the Military Event Data Set (1949-1969) and the Levant Event Data Set (1979-2002).
