Abstract Metakaolin-based geopolymers are prepared using recycled fly ash, aiming to reduce this waste otherwise disposed in landfills. Geopolymers with different amounts of fly ash (20, 50, and 70 wt%) are obtained and the occurring bond formation between the matrix and the filler is investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The consolidation of the materials has been confirmed by pH and conductivity at 28 days of hardening. The thermal behavior of the prepared geopolymers is studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis.

Abstract
Abstract Metakaolin-based geopolymers are prepared using recycled fly ash, aiming to reduce this waste otherwise disposed in landfills. Geopolymers with different amounts of fly ash (20, 50, and 70 wt%) are obtained and the occurring bond formation between the matrix and the filler is investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The consolidation of the materials has been confirmed by pH and conductivity at 28 days of hardening. The thermal behavior of the prepared geopolymers is studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis.File in questo prodotto:
