This chapter deals with how fashion companies address the strategic issue of sustainability, moving from traditional models to circular systems. They are called to renew the infrastructure and make production processes more efficient through technological empowerment and eco-sustainable production. The chapter highlights the main challenges faced by fashion companies in applying the circular model to the product life cycle, in investing in digital technologies and in producing in compliance with EU directives and regulations on fabrics, fibers and clothing. The chapter ends with a discussion of innovative approaches to pursue sustainability, including Sustainable Eco-Chic Fashion Tech. Finally, the analysis provides some tips for fashion managers.
