We derive an analytical formula for the transfer cross section in a heavy-ion reaction at high incident energy (2 20 MeV/u). A semiclassical transfer amplitude and a sharp cut-off approximation for the absorption from the elastic channel are used. Two reactions are studied and the results compared with finite-range DWBA calculations.

Abstract
