The geometry of place. The represation of the dialogue between place and project

GEOMETRY OF THE PLACE The essay aims to examine and investigate aspects of the morphogenetic complexity of contemporary architecture, moving from the understanding of the evolving lines of the site and the recognition of signs and traces, in order to interpret the expectations of the topos. Having recourse to advanced geometries able to establish the relationships and similarity between nature and artifice, the essay always underlines the concept that research on environmental compatibility passes through techniques of awareness and representation of the environment, in respect of environmentally friendly solutions. The analysis of topographic architecture and architecture made by complex curves, can be traced in the topological geometry as well as in the fractals the tool that has allowed that close relationship between artifice and nature, referring everything to the property of the continuity of forms, which result is an architecture potentially soft, flexible, as mathematically described by NURBS.
