Rifiuto della modernità e società gerarchizzata in Pierre Drieu La Rochelle

The work analyses certain aspects of the political thought of the french intellectual Pierre Drieu La Rochelle. In particular, the refusal of the moral, social and economic aspects of french society between the two wars is analysed as a necessary preliminary to the contextualization of the author in the cultural ambit of the 30s. In fact, this ambit, although wide and varoius, shows a shared sense of uneasiness towards modernity's connotations. However, such context does not suffice to fully understand the revolutionary and reactionary tone of the political thought of Drieu La Rochelle, He presents constant and coherent ideas: alongside the research of the qualities of the leader and the elitist vision of society, he pprofesses the return to an organic community locked within its own traditions, to be opposed to the masses. Those ideas constitute the solid structure of his conceptual universe, both as irreflexive thought incapable of recognising in a political party, and as thought which of a precise political choise.

Il lavoro analizza alcuni aspetti del pensiero politico dell'intellettuale francese Pierre Drieu La Rochelle. Il tema del rifiuto degli aspetti morali, sociali ed economici della società francese tra le due guerre viene analizzato come preliminare necessario all'inserimento dell'autore nell'ambito culturale degli anni Trenta, ambito che seppur ampio e diversificato presenta un condiviso senso di malessere dinanzi le connotazioni della modernità, ma non sufficiente a capire il timbro rivoluzionario e reazionario del pensiero politico dell'autore. In realtà, l'autore francese presenta idee costanti -- oltre la ricerca della qualità del capo e della visione élitista della società, il ritorno ad una comunità organica chiusa all'interno delle proprie tradizioni e da contrapporre alla massa, la valorizzazione dell'aspetto fisico --che costituiscono la solida struttura del suo universo concettuale sia come pensiero irriflesso e incapace di riconoscersi in un partito, sia come pensiero-veicolo di una precisa scelta politica.
