Abstract

The city historical and stratified safeguarding the signs of History appears as a stone archive of information, to read and interpret, on architectonic culture, building techniques and on the aesthetic quality attributed by the community. The cut of the stone, the working of the shapes, the epidermic features and the degradation are the first parametric element that contribute to the filological reading of historic and stratified buildings. An aware and informed community glimpses in these tangible signs of the history some opportunities of development, correlated to the specificities of a place. In this sense, the survey undertaken with the latest technologies and traditional methodological approaches, has focused on an integrated kind of experimentation in the field, with the aim of making the most of the specific competences and possible relationships, with fields linked to the entrepreneurial sector. On this occasion the competences of the survey implemented by the CrabNebula Laboratory, have been combined with three-dimensional modeling created with C.N.C. machines to five axes pertaining to the world of local businesses. A process of reverse modeling has been applied, which from the survey with 3D laser scanner and arrives at the three-dimensional plastic model in real size, made with materials precisely of the specific architectonic tradition of the place. The tactile prototype, linked to technological innovation, realized with the same material that has generated historical forms, conveys the concrete contents of a deep-rooted and at the same time diffused culture.
