Abstract

Visually impaired people are often discouraged inusing electronic aids due to complexity of operation, large amountof training, nonoptimized degree of information provided to theuser, and high cost. In this paper, a new multisensor architectureis discussed, which would help blind people to perform urbanmobility tasks. The device is based on a multisensor strategy andadopts smart signal processing.
