The paper deal about the realization of the conceptual model of the alluvial aquifer of the Catania Plain and the simulation of the groundwater flow in connection with the river water. The results permitted to forecasts the hydrodynamic behavior of the aquifer under the variable influence of natural and/or anthropic factors and therefore to define the operative procedures of a rational management that can prevent the quantitative and qualitative degrade of water resources. The research is articulated in three separate phases that lead to the realization of the conceptual model of the aquifer, and the application of the mathematical flow model that has been elaborated through code of calculation MODFLOW 2000 (McDonald & Harbaugh, 1984;Mc-Donald et to the., 2000). To realize the simulation model (2006-2016) have been used the piezometric levels measured in 1996 and in 2006. The obtained results permitted the validation of the simulation of the period 2006-2016, allowing the verification of the behavior of the aquifer in time and to improve the mathematical flow model.
