Ricerca nei musei della provincia di Siracusa BREDA, MARIA GRAZIA Breda, MARIA GRAZIA MULE', PAOLINA SCIACCA, Fabrizio cultural heritage, museum, comunication, educazione, L'evoluzione storica del concetto e delle funzioni del patrimonio culturale e dei musei che lo custodiscono ha come esito il riconoscimento della loro funzione educativa. Il solo fatto di esistere, però, non rappresenta il fattore sufficiente e necessario per svolgere tale ruolo. L'importanza e il successo di un museo, infatti, non dipendono soltanto dalle collezioni, ma anche e soprattutto dal modo in cui riesce a creare una relazione stabile e duratura con il territorio circostante e con i pubblici. A tal fine, risulta fondamentale la creazione di una struttura comunicativa di qualità, fondata sulla messa in atto di quegli strumenti e di quelle strategie che, a livello internazionale e nazionale, sono ritenuti indispensabili a un museo di qualità. Non è possibile, quindi, realizzare alcun processo educativo senza prima attuare un eccellente strategia comunicativa. The historical evolution of the museums but more broadly of cultural heritage has, as final result, the recognition of their educational function. Their mere existence, however, does not constitute a decisive and sufficient factor to carry out this role. The prestige and success of a museum don t depend only and entirely on collections, but also and specially on the way in which it manages to establish a solid and long-lasting relationship with the surrounding territory and with the community too. For this purpose, what becomes crucial is the creation of a high quality communicative structure, based on the implementation of all those sort of instruments and strategies that, at a national and international level, are assumed to be indispensable to a first-class museum.
