The integration of immigrants is widely studied from objective and subjective approach. In Italy, the objective analysis is lead by Consiglio Nazionale dell’Economia e del Lavoro (C.N.E.L.), by means of figures collected by ISTAT, CARITAS and Ministero dell’Interno; whereas the subjective approach is used in research activity carried out by ISMU (Iniziative e Studi sulla Multietnicità). ISMU research focuses on the analysis of immigrants’ integration examined by sampling survey by means of questionnaires and interviews submitted to immigrant population distributed on the whole national territory. From these sources we can obtain data useful to analyze objective states or subjective reports. The paper considers the require to give a full-scale analysis which is able to take into account both objective and subjective approach. So, we propose a composite statistical indicator constructed by the means of the methodological procedures from objective and subjective elementary indicators. Firstly, we normalize the data through re-scaling procedure and conjoin objective elementary indicators in order to construct three different composite indicators of attractiveness, social and occupational integration. In the second step, we use an additive method to aggregate the previous composite indicators with the subjective elementary indicators by computing the averages. In conclusion, the paper analyzes the differences between the ranks of 32 italian provinces according to CNEL Report, “Integrometro” by ISMU and our proposed composite indicator constructed taking into account the features of objective and subjective approach.

Abstract
In conclusion, the paper analyzes the differences between the ranks of 32 italian provinces according to CNEL Report, “Integrometro” by ISMU and our proposed composite indicator constructed taking into account the features of objective and subjective approach.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
