The book maintains that the religions, far from being merely confined in the sphere of individual believe or personal faith, are huge cultural products wherein very wide social and political conceptions, including law, are elaborated and set up. The work combines several analytical methods: legal, anthropological and historical. This multi-disciplinary approach shows, inter alia, how much religion can be discovered even in the legal systems we are used to consider secular. Abstract
From these point of view, the traditional field of legal studies usually called “ecclesiastical law” or “law and religion” well might (and should) be transformed in an excellent legal laboratory, a fertile ground where set up a new intercultural law, a kind of law that every really liberal society now needs.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
