La Torre di Adrano

Different hypotheses have been formulated on the dating of the Tower of Adrano, built in Norman epoch on a preexisting Saracen fortitude, and then modified in the century XIV (G.Agnello thinks that it has been built in this period ). But beyond the simple acquaintance of the form and its modifications, we hold important to investigate these values, if well interpreted, they can narrate us the history of the territory in which these architectures are inserted. The Castle of Adrano, inserted inside the urban perimeter and for this constantly "guarded" from the population that it feels owner, it represents today, as it regards its exploitation, one of the cultural operations in the territory better results. In fact, had already used since 1954 (how archaeological Museum, Historical File, Pinacoteca…) it tells through its finds, over that with its same presence, the history and the stories of the surrounding territory and if correctly inserted in a possible tourist-cultural circuit, it could contribute to disclose what is reached to us by the preceding millennia
