In this paper a new method for electrical network synthesis by using an Expert System is presented. The advantages of the method are discussed in comparison with traditional ones. The steps through which the method develops are illustrated and finally a sketch of a Knowledge Base, implemented for power supply circuits synthesis, is reported together with a synthesis example.
