The research deals with the arrangement of an integrated system of methodologies about the survey aiming at the construction of 3D models able to objectively transmit the connotative aspects of the investigated architecture. Thus, experimentation with the modern instruments of representation is of extreme importance to build up appropriate processes of knowledge organization and cultural dissemination. The implemented approach verifies the potentialities of the different methodologies of representation and 3D reconstruction, from point cloud modelling to photo modelling, to the construction of the geometrical model through dedicated software, in relation with the possibility of 3D printing. The analysis of the different interactions between the raw collected and the virtual information models offers cause for reflection about the paths to follow for the construction of a digital and material database. The creation of a “network” of knowledge as part of the conducted research can be seen as an articulated process of enhancement, starting from the architectural emergencies of the historical heritage characterizing a large area of Eastern Sicily. Each case has been studied so to promote systems of “computer networks” in order to create interactive cultural heritage databases establishing relations of reciprocity and proximity between the architectural elements spread throughout the territory of Val di Noto.

Abstract
Each case has been studied so to promote systems of “computer networks” in order to create interactive cultural heritage databases establishing relations of reciprocity and proximity between the architectural elements spread throughout the territory of Val di Noto.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
