Seta e Anarchia. Teorie e prassi degli anarchici italiani a Paterson

Between the end of the nineteenth century and the early ones years of the twentieth century, the phenomenon of political emigration from Italy towards abroad in general and to America in particular, sees a notable increase due to the long emergency season inaugurated by Francesco Crispi and, basically, never abandoned by the legal system Italian. Alongside emigration for economic reasons, that for reasons politicians develops and intertwines with the history of the labor movement international, its many trends, the First and Second International e its protagonists. The city of Paterson becomes an example of the debate and of the political practice of this composite movement and, above all, of reality anarchist. Next to the boundless publications produced there, including new ones practices of female social solidarity and of artistic expression politically committed are investigated and critically rebuilt.
