This paper aims at comparing Italian and Russian turnover. Considering vote as one of the main expressions of democracy, we selected some of the most relevant variables of the European Social Survey. These have been merged into six dimensions using the Categorial Principal Component Analysis: People trust, Political Interest, Trust in Institutions, Political Participation, Individual Satisfaction, Attitude towards Civil Rights, Attitude towards Immigration. After having compared the two countries, we wondered if and how all of them affected the variable vote using Binary Logistic Regression Models. As a result of this analysis, Italian voters seem to be affect more by: age, education years, political interest, attitude towards civil rights and attitude towards immigration; Russians, instead, seems to be affected by all the above-mentioned factors except attitude towards civil rights matters.
