The delivery systems are able to maintain the drug concentration over time and increases duration of therapeutic activity of the active compound compared to the typical method of the administration of the drugs. Using the sol-gel method, it is possible to synthesized biomaterial implants as drug delivery systems. In this work, hybrid materials containing silica as inorganic matrix, with 6wt% of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and Chlorogenic acid (CGA) (5 and 10 wt %) were synthesized by sol-gel method. The biocompatibility, antibacterial properties and antiproliferative properties on different cells line were evaluated according to the CGA amount in the hybrids.
