Le grandi necropoli dell'età di Pantalica: la Montagna di Caltagirone e Cassibile. Metodologie integrate per l'analisi topografica

Ongoing new studies by two different research groups on the large necropolis of Montagna di Caltagirone and Cassibile has been carried forward with both the traditional methodologies of intensive survey and computer tools and techniques like drones, GIS software, cumulative orthophotogrammetry, detailed photographic surveys for 3D reconstructions. Aiming at a new and more accurate localization of the various groups of rock-cut tombs, our research gives us new data about the identification of the related settlements.
