Abstract

After almost two decades from the publication of the well-known debate between Nancy Fraser and Axel Honneth (2003), the question whether redistribution and recognition are complementary, mutually exclusive, insufficient or essentially inadequate accounts of justice is still open. The present volume offers a multifaceted exploration of this peculiar, and still incredibly inspiring conceptual couple, from a number of different perspectives, combining insights from the traditions of critical theory and analytical political philosophy.
