This paper shows the first outputs of An early WArning System for cultural-heritage (eWAS), a multidisciplinary research project which involves the University of Catania, in partnership with other institutions. In the present manuscript, the project actions for the protection and the valorisation of the archaeological site, will be explained. Two innovative, lightweight, dry-assembled, building technologies will be tested in environmental conditions: the first one is addressed to the realization of covering system, for the protection of the archaeological finds, and the second one is suitable to build multipurpose architectural modules, for the valorisation of the site. In order to minimize the impact on the site, both of them are realized with sustainable materials and they lack of foundation. As testsite, the archaeological area of Megara Hyblaea, which is the first colony founded in Sicily by Greek people in the VIII century b.C., has been chosen. There will be realized a campaign test in site. In the following paper, the design and the realization of the prototypes will show.
