Abstract

FARCOS is a modular detection system intended to extend the capacity of 4π detectors both with higher granularity and resolution and with the ability to perform correlation measurements. The system, equipped at the present stage with the first 10 telescopes worked properly in the first experiments on beam paving the way to the construction of the remaining 10 telescopes that is presently under the way. To cope with the updated experimental cases FARCOS can investigate, we redesigned the frontend electronics board, widening the granularity of the selectable dynamic ranges and optimizing the slow control and calibration tools. In addition, we report on the successful commissioning of the FARCOS system
