The first aim of this Reproducible toolkit on implementing Gender Action Plans is to give practical tools to foster structural changes in a gender perspectives in academia and research centres, and in particular to better manage early stages of academic and scientific careers, making an effort to reduce employment instability and combat gender asymmetries. This toolkit is one of the main outputs of the GARCIA Project - GARCIA - Gendering the Academy and Research: combating Career Instability and Asymmetries, and it is designed to provide guidelines for scientific and academic organisations, at national and European level, interested in implementing similar actions. A Gender Action Plan is a planning document that promotes gender equality within an organisation. It aims to full sets of actions and to achieve structural changes on the basis of each specific situation and context. It is important for a Gender Action Plan to be self-tailored to the specific organisational context.
