This paper presents the Map4Accessibility project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme. By blending social inclusion, disability accessibility, civic engagement and ICT-enabled solutions. The main objective of the project is to civically engage HEI students through service-learning, and involve potential interested stakeholders in the co-creation of a pan-European Progressive Web App (PWA) highlighting both digital and physical accessibility at the urban level. According to the principle of making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, the sustainable development agenda called upon to provide access to safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport systems for all, improving road safety, notably by expanding public transport, with special attention to the needs of those in vulnerable situations, such as persons with disabilities. In addition, the proposal calls for providing universal access to safe, inclusive and accessible, green and public spaces, particularly for persons with disabilities. Clearly, the issue of urban accessibility, with particular regard to most vulnerable communities, is increasingly considered. In particular, cities need to adopt innovative and integrated approaches to mainstream solutions for increasing accessibility to urban public spaces and functions while reclaiming the right to the city through communing.
