Several companies are exploring the use of blockchain to manage digital medical data, and several solutions, leveraging the benefits of the blockchain, have been proposed for the implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR). However, the application of blockchain technology in the medical domain is not free from challenges. This paper describes the issues related to the adoption of the blockchain technology in the development of an EHR management system.
