Heidegger e la Gnosi

I carried out my research on two main themes which are Martin Heidegger and Gnosis, so I studied certain peculiarities of one and the other theme and the possibility and meaning of their mutual relationship. The thesis discusses topics relating to Gnosticism of late antiquity, the phenomenology of gnosis, existential analytics and the temporal hermeneutics of existence, but there are also constant references to Christianity and some insights into Greek philosophy. All this has a twofold objective: to identify and clarify the experiential and ontological-existential dimension that underlies the ancient gnosis, then to welcome the possibility, the profile, the meaning of gnosis as an existential disposition, revelation and integral understanding of the human being (in the double sense of the genitive); and subsequently to probe and demonstrate the Gnostic nature of Heideggerian philosophy, how this philosophy can spring and mature - even beyond the awareness that Heidegger had of it - from a Gnostic understanding of the being, thus also obtaining a fundamental testimony and confirmation that gnosis is an essential possibility, which can always be revealed and fulfilled, which is always given with human existence.

Ho svolto la mia ricerca su due temi principali che sono Martin Heidegger e la Gnosi, quindi ho studiato determinate peculiarità dell’uno e dell’altro tema e la possibilità e il significato della loro reciproca relazione. Nella tesi vengono discussi argomenti attinenti allo gnosticismo della tarda antichità, alla fenomenologia della gnosi, all’analitica esistenziale e all’ermeneutica temporale dell’esistenza, ma sono presenti anche dei riferimenti costanti al cristianesimo e alcuni approfondimenti sulla filosofia greca. Tutto ciò ha un duplice obiettivo: individuare e chiarire la dimensione esperienziale e ontologico-esistenziale che sta alla base dell’antica gnosi, quindi accogliere la possibilità, il profilo, il senso della gnosi come disposizione esistenziale, rivelazione e comprensione integrale dell’esserci umano (nel doppio senso del genitivo); e successivamente sondare e dimostrare la natura gnostica della filosofia heideggeriana, come tale filosofia possa scaturire e maturare – anche al di là della consapevolezza che Heidegger ne ebbe – da una comprensione gnostica dell’essente, ottenendo anche così una testimonianza e conferma fondamentale che la gnosi sia una possibilità essenziale, che può essere sempre rivelata e compiuta, che è sempre data con l’esistenza umana.
