The modelling of complex power system is generically carried out in order to study preliminary on-line control schemes or to analyze stability property of the system or to implement identification procedures of the whole system as well as of each element. In each cases reduced order models needed in order to accurately represent the system or its components. The suitability of using balanced approximated models of a complete power system as well as of individual components is emphasized. In particular, as original systems two different examples have been analyzed: the first system consists of a salient-pole synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus through a transmission line, while the second consists of an induction motor supplied by a voltage source.

Abstract
The modelling of complex power system is generically carried out in order to study preliminary on-line control schemes or to analyze stability property of the system or to implement identification procedures of the whole system as well as of each element. In each cases reduced order models needed in order to accurately represent the system or its components. The suitability of using balanced approximated models of a complete power system as well as of individual components is emphasized. In particular, as original systems two different examples have been analyzed: the first system consists of a salient-pole synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus through a transmission line, while the second consists of an induction motor supplied by a voltage source.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
