In the dynamic studies, in order to realize high speed data handling systems and to perform very accurate measurements, low frequency signal filtering has been improved by using digital techniques. In this paper there are briefly analyzed two band pass filtering systems realized by microcomputer, a FIR and an IIR type: both are referred to one general microcomputer architecture. From a time analysis of implemented algorithms it is pointed out the compatibility between acquisition and filtering system. Also there is dealt with the effect of round-off error caused by the ″eight bit″ coefficient quantization due to the microcomputer eight bit length word.

Abstract
In the dynamic studies, in order to realize high speed data handling systems and to perform very accurate measurements, low frequency signal filtering has been improved by using digital techniques. In this paper there are briefly analyzed two band pass filtering systems realized by microcomputer, a FIR and an IIR type: both are referred to one general microcomputer architecture. From a time analysis of implemented algorithms it is pointed out the compatibility between acquisition and filtering system. Also there is dealt with the effect of round-off error caused by the ″eight bit″ coefficient quantization due to the microcomputer eight bit length word.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
