In today’s data-driven automotive environment, privacy concerns have become increasingly pronounced as modern vehicles collect and transmit vast amounts of personal data without adequate user oversight, with their consequent undue use by third parties. This paper presents the PECS project with the aim of addressing these pressing issues by revolutionising privacy management within the automotive domain, giving particular power to users to choose specific privacy preferences, and also proposing data obfuscation solutions. This paper introduces the preliminary design of PECS - as a work-in-progress project - comprising its software modules, along with five user stories to conceptualise the user interaction.

Abstract
In today’s data-driven automotive environment, privacy concerns have become increasingly pronounced as modern vehicles collect and transmit vast amounts of personal data without adequate user oversight, with their consequent undue use by third parties. This paper presents the PECS project with the aim of addressing these pressing issues by revolutionising privacy management within the automotive domain, giving particular power to users to choose specific privacy preferences, and also proposing data obfuscation solutions. This paper introduces the preliminary design of PECS - as a work-in-progress project - comprising its software modules, along with five user stories to conceptualise the user interaction.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
