Physical asset tokenization through the blockchain represents a ground-breaking advancement in the world of finance and asset management. By unlocking fractional ownership, liquidity, and transparency, this approach aims to democratize investment opportunities and improve market efficiency. In this context, digital twins, as virtual representations of physical assets, is a mandatory feature to offer real-time monitoring and valuable insight, thus enhancing the full potential of tokenized assets. Within this framework, the establishment of the legitimacy of digital twins is a critical aspect of this transformative ecosystem. By leveraging blockchain’s inherent qualities of immutability, decentralization, and smart contracts, the connection between digital twins and their physical counterparts is perfect to enhance trust and confidence in this innovative environment. In this research, our goal is to explore and evaluate various blockchain-based mechanisms to establish legitimacy, address challenges, and, above all, propose a novel solutions to set up legitimate digital twins on tokenized physical assets while minimizing the involvement of trusted third parties, so as to contribute to the development of a better financial system in terms of accessibility, transparency, and technological empowerment.

Abstract
In this research, our goal is to explore and evaluate various blockchain-based mechanisms to establish legitimacy, address challenges, and, above all, propose a novel solutions to set up legitimate digital twins on tokenized physical assets while minimizing the involvement of trusted third parties, so as to contribute to the development of a better financial system in terms of accessibility, transparency, and technological empowerment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
