Knowledge transfer is crucial for the success and innovation of family firms. This study reviews existing literature on the topic through the lens of Family Communication Patterns (FCP) Theory, an aspect that remains underexplored. It examines how different communication styles within families influence the transmission of both tacit and explicit knowledge across generations. This review contributes to the literature on family business governance and organizational learning by integrating insights from communication studies. Future research should empirically assess how FCP Theory can enhance knowledge transfer strategies, ensuring business continuity and competitive advantage in family firms.
