The development of new communication technologies requires new directive antenna systems to improve efficiency and security. In this work, a dielectric ring based on a gradedindex permittivity profile is proposed. It consists of six lens elements homogeneously distributed over the equatorial plane of an electric dipole, which acts as feed, and converts the electric field radiated by the latter in a multibeam radiation pattern, consisting of six directive beams equally spaced as the lenses. The antenna defines a set of stable communication channels in space, by isolating the other directions in order to minimize interferences and undesired interceptions.

Abstract
The development of new communication technologies requires new directive antenna systems to improve efficiency and security. In this work, a dielectric ring based on a gradedindex permittivity profile is proposed. It consists of six lens elements homogeneously distributed over the equatorial plane of an electric dipole, which acts as feed, and converts the electric field radiated by the latter in a multibeam radiation pattern, consisting of six directive beams equally spaced as the lenses. The antenna defines a set of stable communication channels in space, by isolating the other directions in order to minimize interferences and undesired interceptions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
