Comparing three examples of post-seismic reconstruction (Valle del Belice, 1968; Friuli Venezia- Giulia, 1976; Irpinia, 1980) this contribution intends to highlight the outcomes of the various reconstruction activities from the point of view of conservation of the existing historical built heritage. This, in order to provide some insights that can help and evaluate the thematic and disciplinary complexity that characterizes the processes of post-seismic reconstruction.
