Abstract
The stormy period that characterised the years between the first consulate of Caesar and the Principate of Augustus caused profound changes to the political-administrative structure of the Sicilian cities and to their leading elites. Through the analysis of three case studies (Lipara, Centuripae and Tauromenium), the aim of my contribution is to show that, with regard to the ruling elite, the new Augustan assets were only partially new.File in questo prodotto:
