Chronology of the Roman Baths of “Indirizzo” in Catania (Sicily)

The Baths of Indirizzo in Catania representone of the best preserved thermal buildings in theRoman Empire. The goal of this research is twofold andconcerns the determination of the date of the monumentconstruction and of its last use. For these purposes,brick samples were collected at specific points of thebaths, in order to date them by thermally stimulatedluminescence. On this occasion we present some partialresults and the study carried out for the optimization ofthe measurement protocol on historical terracotta.
