This work offers a contribution towards the definition of a planning methodology for the technological system of buildings used in the agriculture industry, adopting the safety and well being of the workers as a priority and the choice of flooring systems as a particular application. The method proposed considers these as being integrated with the other elements of the technological system and bears in mind the requirements stemming from the functional-environmental system. The flooring solutions reached satisfy the health and hygiene criteria of the workers, which were set as reference points in the series of evaluations carried out.
