The global warming represents now one of the main risks for the planet and, at the same time, one of the main challenges for the research. In particular, the increasing gap of temperature between urban centers and the near rural areas caused by the Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon led specialists to find possible solutions for limitation and prevention of possible hazards related to it. This contribution, based on the recent development of Geomatics technologies, proposes a Web-GIS opensource framework to real-time analyze this phenomenon at urban scale on the web using desktop and mobile devices. The structure consists of an incoming dataset that consists of satellite images and real-time sensor network acquisition, a Geospatial Database Management System to store it, a Geospatial Server, necessary to activate Web-Map and Web-Feature services, and a Web-GIS visualizer developed inside a Webserver and based on JavaScript libraries. The adopted solution was conceived in the perspective to developing an Urban Digital Twin platform useful for the management of climatic risks and emergencies by municipalities and private companies.

Abstract
The adopted solution was conceived in the perspective to developing an Urban Digital Twin platform useful for the management of climatic risks and emergencies by municipalities and private companies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
