A model of cohesive fracture by intra-element interfaces is presented. It uses a recently proposed algorithmic framework [4] based on the formal analogy between the enriched continuum and the theory of classical plasticity, that avoids static condensation at the element level. A variational framework including damaging embedded interfaces in the context of the SDA is derived. A comparison with XFEM is performed.

Abstract
A model of cohesive fracture by intra-element interfaces is presented. It uses a recently proposed algorithmic framework [4] based on the formal analogy between the enriched continuum and the theory of classical plasticity, that avoids static condensation at the element level. A variational framework including damaging embedded interfaces in the context of the SDA is derived. A comparison with XFEM is performed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
