Abstract
In this paper we present a technique for recognising locationnames in non-structured texts. Our approach is based on grammarrules devised for the Italian language and semantic web tools such asgeographic linked datasets, OWL ontologies, and SWRL rules, to handledata and reason about them, even in presence of name ambiguities. Tothe best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt of addressing theproblem of location recognition in the context of Italian texts with suchan ontological support.File in questo prodotto:
