A proposal is presented for a high-speed connectionless data service based on distributed-queue dual-bus (DQDB) metropolitan area networks (MANs) interconnection. In order to obtain efficient bandwidth management, the connection-oriented mode of the DQDB is used. A routing strategy which matches the security requirements for addressing in a MAN environment is presented. To achieve the DQDB MANs interconnection, three different kinds of bridges which ensure the efficiency of the routing technique defined are proposed.

Abstract
A proposal is presented for a high-speed connectionless data service based on distributed-queue dual-bus (DQDB) metropolitan area networks (MANs) interconnection. In order to obtain efficient bandwidth management, the connection-oriented mode of the DQDB is used. A routing strategy which matches the security requirements for addressing in a MAN environment is presented. To achieve the DQDB MANs interconnection, three different kinds of bridges which ensure the efficiency of the routing technique defined are proposed.File in questo prodotto:
